Cleric Seddiqi Accused of Transferring Seminary Land to Family-Owned Company

The issue of Kazem Rajabi Seddiqi—an Iranian Shia scholar, Mujtahid, and temporary Tehran Friday Prayer Imam—has become a prominent example of alleged corruption involving high-ranking figures in the Islamic Republic. Allegations surfaced concerning the controversial transfer of a valuable plot of public land in the affluent Ozgol area of Tehran to a private company, Peyrovan Andishehaye Qaem (PAE), where Seddiqi and his immediate family members are the principal owners. The land, which was originally designated for Seddiqi's Imam Khomeini Seminary, was reportedly transferred to the family's company, a move that an investigative journalist brought to public light, suggesting a substantial financial windfall for the cleric's family.
