One of Keyvan Khosrovani’s most significant technical innovations was adapting the Kalaghei process for heavy wool crepe, rather than just thin silk or chiffon. This breakthrough allowed for the creation of structured, formal garments like suits and coats, which were previously impossible to make with traditional batik silk. By developing specialized methods for stiffening and reinforcing these fabrics, Khosrovani was able to design complete ensembles, including matching shoes, bags, and hats, elevating Kalaghei to the status of "Haute Couture" suitable for royal functions.
