The Threshold of Fear: Why 2026 Marks the End of the Islamic Republic

The state’s reliance on "fear" as its primary tool of governance has finally backfired. After the brutal massacres of 2019 and 2022, the threshold of terror has been crossed. Iranians are no longer deterred by the threat of the "Evin" prison or the Basij militias because they feel they have nothing left to lose.
