Ending the Double Standard: Why the U.S. Must Expel Iranian Regime Affiliates and Their Families

Allowing these individuals to remain in the U.S. also undermines the effectiveness of existing sanctions. While the U.S. blocks trade and freezes assets, it permits the human capital of the regime to thrive in the West. This creates a safety valve for the Iranian government, allowing its leaders to maintain their power at home while their families build futures abroad. To be truly effective in its "maximum pressure" campaign, the U.S. must close this loophole and ensure that there is nowhere for the regime's elite to hide their families or their assets.
