Perhaps the greatest threat to the regime’s longevity is the demographic shift occurring within the country. Over 60% of Iranians are under the age of 30, meaning this "Gen Z" demographic has no personal memory of the 1979 Revolution. They feel no emotional connection to its original grievances and increasingly view the current leadership as an aging gerontocracy that is out of touch with the digital, globalized world they inhabit.
