Beyond the Screen: The Extraordinary Life of Nazanin Boniadi

Her academic journey initially led her away from the stage and into the realm of science and medicine. Boniadi moved to the United States to attend the University of California, Irvine, where she excelled in her studies, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with honors. During her time at UCI, she was deeply involved in molecular research, specifically focusing on cancer treatment and heart transplant rejection, for which she received the prestigious Chang Pin-Chun Undergraduate Research Award. Her commitment to medicine was so strong that she even served as the assistant editor-in-chief of the university’s undergraduate medical newspaper, MedTimes, fully intending to become a physician before a late-blooming realization shifted her focus toward acting.
