John Elfreth Watkins Jr.

American civil engineer John Elfreth Watkins predicted what the world would look like in the year 2000 right at the turn of the 20th century. He wrote a piece about his predictions, where it was published in American women's magazine. The article was titled "What May Happen in the Next Hundred Years." He discussed 29 topics, and so far 10 of his predictions have been right.For example, he predicted the rise of GMOs, television, mobile phones, and the rising height of Americans.
