When Amir-Entezam was still a student at “Dar-ol-Fonun” school, Reza Shah was replaced with his son and heir, Mohammad-Reza Shah. Amir-Entezam’s schooldays also coincided with Mohammad Mosadegh’s tenure as Prime Minister and the August 1953 coup d’état. The turmoil in the streets and the newspapers’ fervour in those days drew Amir-Entezam into politics.
