Why is everyone talking about social distancing now?
The government moved from the 'contain' phase to the 'delay' phase of its coronavirus response earlier on 12th March. During the 'delay' phase, it will be ramping up the number of social distancing measures recommended over time and when a new measure is required or advised, the government will update its guidance accordingly.
