The Libyan government reported that the two sides discussed the mutual steps to be taken to resume diplomatic representation and develop bilateral economic cooperation. New phase of Arab-Iranian relations During the meeting, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Libya’s position in support of the initiative of Saudi Arabia, which enjoys the support of Arab states, to start a new phase of Arab-Iranian relations, based on the common interests of the countries and peoples of the region. The two sides also agreed to resume meetings of the Libyan-Iranian joint committee, develop cooperation in the health and technical fields, encourage exports, cooperate in the industrial field, and exchange official visits.
