A TV presenter’s hours are variable, and it is rarely a 9-5/Monday-Friday job, as their work is not just on-screen presenting. They will need to prepare before shows and plan for future ones after programmes have finished. Therefore, they can work long and unsociable hours, e.g. early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. There are different TV presenter roles, so there may be some flexibility, especially with pre-recorded shows. Some employers may offer flexible working options, such as part-time, hybrid, job share and remote. Most roles are on a fixed-term or freelance contract basis.
