A significant turning point in Sharmahd’s political life occurred following the controversial disappearance of the Kingdom Assembly’s founder, Frouz Fouladvand, around 2007. With Fouladvand no longer in the picture, Jamshid Sharmahd became a crucial figure, effectively emerging as the main spokesperson or leader of the exiled group. This shift in leadership placed him more intensely in the crosshairs of Iranian intelligence agencies. From this point forward, he was predominantly known as the face steering Tondar's media operations.
